Set Bookmarks

Bookmarks let you save multiple line positions in the Editor that you can quickly navigate to when needed. This feature is useful when managing large scripts or stored procedures and you need to jump back and forth within the same source file.

The following types of bookmarks are available:

To set a bookmark

  1. Place the cursor in front of the line you want to bookmark in the Editor window.

  2. Select Edit | Bookmarks | Toggle Bookmarks to add an unnamed bookmark (CTRL+K, CTRL+K). You can use the menu or add the Bookmarks toolbar to navigate unnamed bookmarks.

    or

    Press CTRL+SHIFT+0-9 to set a numbered bookmark. You can press CTRL+0-9 to navigate to a numbered bookmark.

    or

    Right-click a line and select Set Numbered Bookmark.

To go a numbered bookmark

  1. Place the cursor in front of the line you want to bookmark in the Editor window.

  2. Select Edit | Bookmarks | Go to Numbered Bookmark to go to it.

    or

    Right-click a line and select Go to Numbered Bookmark.
