To set timeout options
Select Tools | Options |Database | Timeouts.
Review the following for additional information:

Execution timeout |
Enter the number of seconds to wait for a SQL statement to execute before timing out. Default: 0 (wait indefinitely) |

Connection timeout |
Enter the number of seconds to wait when connecting before the operation times out. Default: 15 seconds |

Lock timeout |
Enter the number of seconds to wait before releasing an open query. Default: 1200 seconds (20 min) |

Open transaction timeout |
Enter the number of seconds to wait before releasing an open transaction. Default: 5400 seconds (90 min) |

Instance search timeout |
Enter the number of seconds to search for a server instance on the network before the operation times out. Default: 60 seconds |
| Idle connection timeout |
Enter the number of seconds to wait when a connection is idle before releasing the connection. Default: 0 (wait indefinitely) |
Tips:
To navigate to the directory where option settings are stored, click the Application Data Directory link in the About dialog (Help | About).
To search for a partial or complete option name or value, use the Search field at the bottom of each Options page. See About Options for more information.
