Configurations Options

This topic focuses on information that may be unfamiliar to you. It does not include all step and field descriptions.

To set configuration version control

  1. Review the configuration prerequisites. See About Version Control for more information.

  2. Select Tools | Options | Version Control | Configurations.

  3. Most fields are read only and can be altered in the Version Control configuration wizard only. Review the following for additional information:

    Configuration name

    Select a configuration name.

    Notes:

    • If you delete an existing configuration, you must use the Version Control wizard to create a new configuration.
    • You can enable or disable version control.

    Server

    Displays the path to the version control provider.

    • For TFS, specify the server where your version control provider is installed and the port number (default is 8080) to use in the following format:

      http://MyServer:Port for TSF 2005, 2008

      http://MyServer:Port/TFS for TFS 2010

    • For Apache Subversion™, select the root working folder used for the version control repository.

    • For File System Based, select a directory on your local HDD that is configured for version control in any third party application.

    Username/ Password

    Enter login information for the version control provider and click Login.

  1. Click Enable.
