The Conversations window displays information about conversations currently in progress.
The top pane displays the conversations in which the current endpoint is taking part. The icon beside each conversation indicates the current status of the conversation:

Select a conversation to display a list of the messages sent as part of that conversation in the bottom pane.
To start a conversation
Select the Conversations tab in the lower pane of Service Broker window.
Create or alter a conversation.
Review the following for additional information:
Initiating service |
Select the service to initiate the conversation. |
Target Service |
Select the target service. |
GUID target SB |
Enter the GUID for the database that hosts the target service. |
Contract |
Specify the contract for the conversation. |
Related Group |
Select this option to associate the new window to the conversation group with this related conversation group ID. If you specify an id that does not exist, the Service Broker creates a new conversation with the specified ID and relates this window to it. |
Related Conversation |
Select this option to associate the new Dialog to the conversation with this conversation handle. |
Use Lifetime |
If cleared, the route is retained indefinitely. |
To send a message
Select Send Message.
Enter the contents of the message. This should conform to the contents expected by the Message Type.
To end a conversation
