Use the Summary Editor to calculate a summary for a label that is bound to data.
To calculate summary data
Add a label control from the Toolbox to the report band where you want to calculate the summary, and bind it to the data.
Note: The label must be bound to numeric or date/time data in order to calculate the summary.
Click the Summary link near the bottom of the Property Grid.
Review the following for additional information:
Bound field |
Displays the field bound to the label. You can modify this information if needed. |
Summary function |
Select the type of summary you want to calculate. |
Format string |
Click to select the format to use when displaying the calculated output. |
Ignore Null values |
Select this checkbox to ignore Null values when calculating the summary. |

Select one of the following options:
