Toad for SQL Server 5.7

You are here: Use Version Control > Add Scripts Using the Editor

Add Scripts Using the Editor

Managing scripts from the Editor is an alternative to managing them with the Scripts object in the Object Explorer. See Add Scripts Using the Object Explorer for more information about working with scripts in the Object Explorer.

Note: If you created a version control configuration for database objects and a second configuration for SQL scripts in the Editor that uses the same version control folder as the object configuration, the following procedure adds scripts to the Server Scripts or Scripts folder/node in the Object Explorer.

To add a new or existing SQL script to version control from the Editor

  1. Save the SQL script to the working folder you configured for version control from the Editor.

  2. Click on the Version Control toolbar (ALT+F+R+A).

Tip: Right-click anywhere in the toolbar area and select Version Control to display the Version Control toolbar.
