Toad for SQL Server 5.7 |
Use the Service Manager to create groups of services and associate those services with a connection. This is useful if you want to group all database services (agent, reporting, job scheduler, etc.) so you can start, stop, or pause them at the same time. If any services associated with this connection are not running, they automatically start when you log into them using Toad.
Notes:
You must have access to the remote registry where the database is installed to use this feature.
This feature is available for servers running Microsoft Windows only.
To associate a service with a connection
Right-click a connection in the Connection Manager and select Service | Manager.
Click
and review the following for additional information:
Host |
Enter the name of the host on which the services run. This field can be blank for the local host. |
Connections associated |
Select a checkbox beside one or more connections that you want to associate with the services. If any services associated with this connection are not running, they automatically start when you log into the database with Toad. |
Click Add to add additional services.
Tip: To remove a service, select it from the list and click Remove.
