Define Object Lists

When you create or alter an object list, use the Object List Definition window to define the set of filters that identify the objects belonging to the list. The set of filters is displayed in the Definition pane. You can preview the object list defined by the filters in the Preview pane.

To define an object list

  1. To add a new entry to the filter list in the Definition pane, click Add Action and complete the following:

    Action

Specify whether the filter action includes or excludes the objects.

    Type

Select the object type to which the filter pertains.

    Schema

Select the specific schema to which the filter pertains.

    Filter

Click to define additional filters that eliminate objects based on object properties. These object-property filters display in the Filter cell.

  2. To add another filter to the Definition pane, repeat the previous step.

  3. To preview the list of objects resulting from the filters, click Generate.

  4. Use the previous steps to modify the filters as needed to include the correct objects in the object list.

Tip: To remove a filter from the Definition pane, select the filter entry and click Remove Action.
