SQL Dictionary Options

This topic focuses on information that may be unfamiliar to you. It does not include all step and field descriptions.

Caution: Any changes you make to the dictionary are applied immediately, even though you have not applied the changes.

To add a new dictionary entry

  1. Click | Options (ALT+T+O) and select Database | SQL Dictionary.

  2. Select the category for which you want to add a SQL script. If you want to add a new category, click New and modify the selected entry with the following information:

    Quest.Toad.database_provider.category_name.script_name

  1. Review the following for additional information:

    Selection

    If you do not want to define a database version, select New Version. Otherwise, leave this field blank and the database:version information is added when you complete the fields.  

    Database

    If you want this script to apply to any database, select Any. Otherwise, select your database provider.

    Version

    If you do not want a database version associated with this script, leave this field blank. Otherwise, enter the database version associated with this script.  

    SQL Script

    Enter the SQL script in the text box.

    Note: You can modify an entry at any time by updating the fields.
