Define Job Properties

To define properties for a job

Complete the fields as necessary. Review the following for additional information:

Category

Select a category (used to group jobs) for this job. The following categories are available:

Uncategorized (Local)—Groups jobs on the same SQL Server instance where the job is stored.
Database Maintenance—Groups general database maintenance actions.
Full-Text—Groups indexing actions for full text catalogs.
Jobs from MSX—Groups jobs from a master server associated with a target server.
REPL-Alert Response—Groups predefined alert response jobs when a system is configured as a distributor.
REPL-Distribution—Groups jobs used to distribute data to users.
REPL-LogReader—Groups jobs used to run the Replication Log Reader Agent utility.
REPL-Merge—Groups jobs used to run the Replication Merge Agent utility.
REPL-QueueReader—Groups jobs used to run the Replication Queue Reader Agent utility.
REPL-Snapshot—Groups jobs used to run the Replication Snapshot Agent utility.
REPL-Subscription Cleanup—Groups jobs used to clean up metadata in the MSmerge_contents and MSmerge_tombstone system tables.
Web Assistant—Groups jobs used to update web pages automatically.
Uncategorized (Multi-Server)—Groups jobs that run on one or more servers.
