Toad for SQL Server 5.7 |
Transmission queues are temporary storage locations for messages in Service Broker communications. Each database has its own transmission queue in which it can store:
Messages sent by services on the databases, until the target service acknowledges receipt of the message.
Messages sent by services on the database that cannot reach the target service (destination database is unavailable or Service Broker message delivery is not active on the destination database).
Messages received by a service on the database where the destination queue for the service is unavailable.
Tip: Review the transmission queue to quickly identify potential problems with Service Broker messaging.
To view the status of a message in the transmission queue
Select a database from the tree view.
Right-click a message in the queue and select View Transmission Status.
