Manage Error Messages

This topic focuses on information that may be unfamiliar to you. It does not include all step and field descriptions.

To locate an error message

  1. Select Alerts from the Agent node in the Object Explorer.

  2. Click , and select the General page.

  3. Select Error number from the Alert will be raised based on list.

  4. Click in the Error number field.

  5. Complete the fields as necessary.  Review the following for additional information:

    Message text contains

    Enter a word or exact phrase that is included in the error message you want to locate.

    Error number

    Enter the error number for the message you want to locate.

    Severity

    Select the severity level of the message you want to locate.

    Only include logged messages

    Select this checkbox to locate only those error messages that have been logged to the server.

    Only include user-defined messages

    Select this checkbox to locate only those error messages that are user-defined.
